Doc's Noms Ride

Well we formed up on a chilly , windy, bitterly cold morning  at Truck city There was Sandy and gibbo , fugue, Bert and jin jin , Shrek and mouse.

After a coffee to warm the limbs and get the heart started we were off on the shortened route. The route was changed due to the incoming storms and that it wouldn't be safe to ride so plan two (2) was placed into action. We traveled down the Hume/Sydney road  dodging traffic and red lights , we did have one bloke on a R6  pop a pretty good wheelie of from the lights and through 3 gear changes  (go the sports bikes). We arrived out our destination which was Highway 31  and met up with Foggy , Chef and Scorpion who were waiting there. Some of the Rich members went in and had a good look at a few bikes at the Harley shop next door  getting quotes and prices for their next steeds.

We went into the Highway 31  which is full of motorcycling memorabilia and old bikes  and just about anything you can think of related to bikes. Michael  then took us through a guided tour of the Harley museum  which is closed to the public and only open to invited guests of the owner , it is his private collections of bikes and pictures and other memorabilia. Michael knowledge on these bikes were extraordinary to say the least and of racing Harleys  back in the days when foggy was a youngster :)

After the tour we adjourned to the Cafe for a meal and coffee and or other liquid refreshments after spending 2  hours there from what was going to be a quick stop it was time to depart. Chef as president patched me up in Sydney Rd Brunswick out the front of Harley Heaven  and with the use of the esteemed picker and Shreks tube of superglue the job was done. It was a good day  that was made out of a day which due to the weather could have gone horribly wrong and was enjoyed by all. we then departed for the AGM over at Sunshine R.S.L

I would just like to thank all who could attend , and all who were not able to be there due to other commitments but sent there wishes.

Regards

Doc
