Shrek's Nom Ride

Well it was that time again for the Melbourne chapter, meeting time. It started in Melbourne at truck city where we all converged, Shrek wore his new personalised helmet(pics explain). He pulled in to fits of laughter from the boys. Chef,Foggy,Scorpion,Stevo,Skinner,Gibbo,Bert, Fugue,Doc,Sleeper,JinJin,set off on the bikes. Cougar & Family,Magic,Sandy & Mouse set off on 4 wheels up the freeway to Avenel.

My local watering hole,(doubled their daily takings in 1/2 hour).after a smoke a cold beer and a chat we continued on through the country roads into Longwood, along the way I as road captain had to use my cattle duffing OOPS Drafting skills on a rouge steer, and he cleared the fence first go. then supposed to cross freeway but came out in wrong spot. back toward Melbourne on freeway for a bit to right road to Ruffy,Road nah more like a track tho it did have tar up the middle a bike width, but did have good corners.

into Ruffy, 3 houses and a RSL memorial. Fred's is now close, Onto dirt road for 50 metres and into driveway. parked up bikes and met Clubs, Fred and Fred's mate from the Vets. meeting was held and hoe brew began to flo, those who couldn't stay the night had a fantastic BBQ before leaving. Those who camped the night drank lots of beer and cider, played darts or tried to, Clubs did his best to upset Mouse and Sleeper. think he succeeded. cos they didn't win.

at o my goodness it Sunday morning we went to bed only to awake real soon after for bacon and eggs on the BBQ. after breaky we headed into yea via the high country with Fred at the helm, some beautiful country was crossed on this trek. once in YEA Fred C said see ya and headed back to the farm. we all stayed and enjoyed the country hospitality, Clubs and myself got into a bit of trouble with the local constabulary(see pics),.

after being released we said our goodbyes and headed home through different routes, a Heart felt thank you to FRED and his WIFE for their hospitality over the weekend, awesome food and lots of homebrew. to those who made the trek by 2or 4 wheels thank you. Welcome to our new Noms, lets keep it happening. we are averaging 1 new nom every 3 weeks FANTASTIC.
