Uploading Files

There are several ways to get files/pictures to the webmaster for inclusion onto the website:
  • Email
Probably the easiest way, however, be aware that email has size limits (usually, no files larger than 10Mb will be allowed to be transferred by your ISP).  My email address is web@patriotsmelbourne.org
  • Disc
If you have particularly large files or lots of them, then this is the best method to use.  Simply burn the files to CD/DVD and give them to me when I'm at the clubhouse (or leave it there for me to pick up) or if it can't wait, post the disc to me (ask for my home address if you don't already have it).
  • Usb
As above only you don't burn the files, you simply transfer them to the USB disc.  The benefit of this method is that you don't need a CD/DVD Burner and it's a multi-use device.  I will either post the USB back or leave it at the clubhouse for you to pick up.
  • Ftp
This is a slightly more complex method, however, it allows members to upload files directly to a special public area on the web server.  It requires the use of a FTP software program such as FileZilla, Core FTP or Cyber Duck.  You will need to email me after so that I'm aware that there are files waiting for me to process.  If you use this method, it's best if you archive (zip) the files as the server won't allow files with certain extensions from being uploaded.  The connection information you need is as follows:
    FTP Server: ftp.patriotsmelbourne.org
    FTP Server Port: 21
    FTP Username: member@patriotsmelbourne.org
    FTP Password: patriots4eva
